Central bank: Russian mortgage lending falls by 8.4% in Dec 2022

MOSCOW, Feb 15 (PRIME) -- Russian banks decreased issuance of mortgages by 8.4% on the year to 176,200 loans in December 2022, the central bank’s representative said on Wednesday.

The volume of mortgage loans jumped to 696.9 billion rubles, the highest for the entire period of observation.

The weighted average interest rate fell to 6.65% from 7.11% in November 2022.
